Artist statement
I was born and raised in Moscow and for the time being I continue to live here, travel around Russia and the world, as far as it is possible now. I am an interdisciplinary artist, I work in various painting techniques – from drawing with pencils to abstraction with acrylics and watercolors. I make sculptures, furniture, small architectural forms.
All my works are united by the common theme of autobiography – I stretch the process of creating artwork for months, sometimes years, and capture in them the events and emotional experiences of the period of creation. I explore the problem of perception of the modern world through a multitude of personalities coexisting in a resident of a metropolis and simply in one body. In my works you can see recurring symbols: the head of a dog - three eyes, like a stratification of the unity of perception, an insane smile so as not to go crazy; pattern - denial of established concepts; DON'T DO IT - the strongest impulse that encourages action from the opposite.
